High-impact drum sounds that will make your audience a slave to your rhythm. A chest-pounding kick, two face-slapping snares, hi and low toms that’ll shake your pants off, a zingy cymbal, searing hats, a massive FM synth sound, and a cowbell, because everything needs more cowbell.

4 banks of 16 patterns, each with up to 64 steps
Easily create your own patterns by using the “step” and “accent” buttons, or record them in real-time from the pads. Use the Polyrhythm feature to change the pattern length per instrument, use the looper to add some glitchy beat-repeats, and the roller to add per-instrument drum fills.

Chain 16 patterns to create 16 songs
Create up to 16 full songs by chaining up to 16 of your saved patterns, perfect for creating live sets.

Swing
Add some groove to your rhythm, either globally or per drum.

Randomness
Add unpredictable variations to your pattern, from a little extra hit here and there, to a full-blown sonic assault. Available per instrument, or globally if you’re feeling brave.

Output distortion
The main output features a rich, specially voiced distortion to add some filth when you need it, and the ability to bypass it when you don’t.

Color
Unique to DrumBrute Impact 1984, “Color” can be activated per instrument, or per step, giving you another layer of tonal control. Add overdrive to the kick, make the snares snap and crack, and excite the hats, toms, and FM sound.

Headphone output
3.5mm output for headphone monitoring. When connected, the metronome is removed from the main output so you hear it, and not your audience.

Group outputs
4 additional outputs to send the Kick, Snares, Hi Hats, or the FM Sound out separately for post-processing, letting you create your perfect drum sound. When you route one of them, they are removed from the main mix, giving you massive creative control.

Sync to anything
DrumBrute Impact 1984 can sync to external MIDI, vintage sequencers, modular synths, KORG Volcas, and DAWs via MIDI, clock, or USB.

DrumBrute Impact 1984’s sounds were designed from the ground up to stand out and get noticed. Each featuring a distinct, unique flavor, with a strong overall “kit” sound that will deliver the punch and power you need.

Bass Jam

Groove Jam

This very lively jam was recorded straight from the machine, performed in one take. It is clearly making the most of all the instruments' ranges and performance features. All sounds coming from DrumBrute Impact and its built in distortion circuit, n o external processing applied.

Lighthouse

Ambient and relaxing track made using DrumBrute impact for drums, as well as Analog Lab for synth sounds. Additional processing was made using Ableton's native ping pong delay effect on the Snare 2.

Micro Jam

This à la micro-house jam/track shows well the variety of sounds that can be achieved by using accent tracks and automating the color of the instruments. All sounds coming from the DrumBrute Impact, using the built-in distortion, and with additionnal touch of processing from Ableton's Color Limiter.

Overtimed

Groovy and ambient electro composition put together very quickly thanks to the handy sequencer. 3 Instances of DX7V were used for the synth parts. Processing include DrumBrute Impact's built-in distortion at a discrete setting, and Ableton's Glue Compressor for mild compression.

Slow Rise

In this ethereal track, Snare 2 is being used as a way to simulate a crash, thanks to its longer decay settings. Additional processing was made using Ableton's native ping pong delay effect on the Snare 2. All synth sounds come from Analog Lab.
