Chizzy & Pigments
Fresh sounds for hip hop

It’s fitting that such a bold, high-profile producer like Chizzy would use Pigments.

Arturia’s first “original design” software synth, with its twin synth engines, huge modulation abilities, effects and sequencer, it’s a synth that truly lets you explore new sonic possibilities that have never been heard before.

We caught up with Chizzy - who made his name producing and writing for the likes of Chris Brown, Jennifer Lopez, Justin Bieber, Isac Elliot and K?d - to chat about his creative process, how he uses Pigments in his latest work, and to share a few tips and tricks of using Arturia software.

One of the best things about Pigments is that you don’t need to be a “synth expert” to use it.
It’s intuitive, powerful, but most of all, it’s fun.

"... going into the Macros has been a really cool experience."

By using the expertly crafted presets within Pigments, alongside Arturia’s powerful Filter M12 plugin, and tweaking them to perfectly suit his tracks, Chizzy is able to animate the music, bring it to life, and really helping the production to push the emotion in the track.

Every Pigments preset features multiple “Macro” controls that let you bring the sound to life in one way or another. They can add multiple effects at once, smoothly change core parameters of the sound, or introduce randomness to multiple controls. In terms of using this power in your productions, like Chizzy, you can create unique builds, drops, risers, and fresh musical elements wherever you like in your music.
