_PolyBrute V2.0 - Soundshaper Update

Earlier this month, we released the PolyBrute’s first major firmware update - introducing a number of creative enhancements, inspiring presets, and radical features, for free.

We visited them in the studio to hear how they’ve been using PolyBrute to push their beats into multi-dimensional territory.

Australian producer Ryan Collings created the project ‘Oughtta Been’, fusing indie rock with US rap - we spoke to Ryan about the process behind his hybrid MiniFuse track.

A sonic identity
“Dramatic dynamic shifts accompany the simple asymmetrical 4 chord pattern which underpins the entire song. In order to squeeze more sound out of Live Lite, the range function on “pitch” MIDI device was used to have two discrete synth sounds from Arturia’s Analog Lab V. By using a drum rack playing various drum loops, I was able to create an impactful drum track with only one MIDI track.”
