The original instrument was a marvel of engineering: a playable network of magnetic tapes that let you perform using otherworldly recordings of choirs, acoustic, and classical instruments. Notoriously difficult to maintain and almost impossible to transport, the Mellotron was used by The Beatles, King Crimson, The Moody Blues - some of the biggest, most influential acts of all time. They could afford the roadies, after all.

Mellotron V isn’t just a copycat, it’s a love-letter to the original with some exclusive features that make it a must-have for the modern producer. All of the original tapes have been included, sampled at source, and replayed using authentic tape emulation.
